The John Waltemath Missions Fund
St Joe Community Church announces the formation of the John Waltemath Mission Fund.
Purpose Statement
The John Waltemath Mission Fund ("JW Fund") promotes the advancement of the gospel to the glory of God. In doing so, we honor the memory of John Waltemath.
"Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” -- Matthew 28:19-20
"Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” -- Matthew 28:19-20
Scope
As directed by the leadership team prior to the sale of the North Clinton property, half the proceeds will be given to missions within 5 years. “Missions” must be outside St Joe Community Church.

Process
Requests for funds must be made in writing. The request should include the name of the person requesting funds, who the funds will go to, including a mailing address in order to send a check, the amount requested, and how this money will fulfill the purpose statement of the Waltemath Fund.
Requests may be given to any team member. The team will assemble and make a decision about the request. If approved, the team will forward the request to the pastor for final approval and to the treasurer to make payment.
Regular reports will be given to the congregation about how the funds are being distributed.
The team would like to stipulate that $20,000 be reserved for mission trip scholarships for St Joe members and attenders. This money would be granted on a matching basis, with the maximum being 50% of the trip cost per individual, based on need. Written requests must be submitted.
Funds given to organizations or church plants are one-time only gifts. With the nature of this fund, on-going commitments should not be made. However, gifts can be repeated.
Waltemath Fund team: Chad Hunter, Tina Ingram, John Koogler, Lynnette Wallace, Kathy Westfall.
