Are you getting to know….GOD?

This is what the Lord says: The wise person should not boast in his wisdom; the strong should not boast in his strength; the wealthy should not boast in his wealth.  But the one who boasts should boast in this:  that he understands and knows me - that I am the Lord, showing faithful love, justice, and righteousness on the earth, for I delight in these things.  (Jeremiah 9:23-24 CSB)

Knowing more, doing more, having more.  These are often the things we pursue in search of satisfaction.  

Jeremiah reminds us that wisdom, strength, and wealth will not produce the contentment our hearts long for. If something seems to be missing in your life, endeavor to be someone who understands and knows God.  

As Jesus prayed, “Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.” (John 17:3)  

If you want to get to know God better, start by taking a step of faith and join one of the connection groups starting up in a few weeks.  Connection groups are designed to strengthen the connection we have with one another – but more importantly they give us an opportunity to know God better!  If you would like to know more about knowing God better, let me know. :) jmoody221@gmail.com.
