March 1, 2020: When you think of God saving somebody who is far from him, do you think he might use you for that work? Today, Pastor Greg Byman delivers the fourth installment in a series called, "Who's the One" and is based on a national campaign of churches to challenge and inspire the body of Christ to reach neighbors, co-workers, friends and family with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Today, Pastor Greg challenges you to remember who stepped up to say, “here am I, Lord, send me to help <insert your name> come to know Jesus.” If God heard that person’s prayer and honored his/her labor on your behalf, would he not honor the same by you on behalf of another lost soul? If God could use fallen men and women to reach you for Jesus, could he use an imperfect but faithful servant like you to reach somebody else today?

Who God uses to Save Souls
God uses people to save souls
1. People who are committed to saving souls
-who are you praying for?
-illust: ice fisherman who fell through the ice- 15 year old heard
him yelling for help, called 911, saved his life
We ALL need people who are committed to helping us!
2. People who will carry you vs 18
-how are you showing God’s love in practical ways to?
-who have you initiated conversations with?
-who have you brought to worship or a connection group?
3. People who clear the way vs 19
-these men broke through the roof! Did whatever it took!
-how are you sacrificing popularity to reach your One?
4. People who will call out to Jesus
-Matthew 9:2 “Seeing their faith” Jesus forgave the man
-Trust people who trust Jesus!
-Who do you believe Jesus can save? Do you really believe?
-Who is praying for you to follow Jesus?
But let’s remember that no one can…
1. Forgive Sins
2. Heal- change someone’s life
3. Glorify God for someone else “I can’t live your story”
Illust: Conservation Officer who tried to save his friend who fell through the ice. They both perished.
-No one has the power to save others from death and hell
Only Jesus really saves souls!
Only Jesus Saves Souls!
1. Jesus forgives sin
-some preachers think the man’s sin was causing his paralysis
-our “paralysis” proves we need help!
-Acts 4:12 Jesus is the only name we call out to for salvation
-John 14:6 Jesus is the only way to the Father
-1 John 5:11-13 Life = having the Son of God as our savior!
-They said…”Only God can forgive sin”
-So Jesus proved He truly had the power to save…
2. Jesus Heals Our Lives
-“But so that you will know….”
-We don’t change our lives to get saved. Jesus saves our souls so that we can have changed lives!
Are you “paralyzed?
1. Accept help from people
-Are they really helping you find Jesus Christ?
2. Accept forgiveness from Jesus
3. Glorify God with your life- vs 25
-The man picked up his mat and walked away glorifying God
-Give God the credit for your changed life!
-Glorify God by bringing someone else to Jesus Christ!
Who’s Your One?
Commit to at least one person whose soul needs saved
Carry them to Jesus
-By your lifestyle
-in your conversations
-by inviting them to worship, connection groups, ??
Clear the way- remove all manmade obstacles
Call out to Jesus- pray for them constantly!

Many sermons in the St. Joe archive are machine-transcribed. St. Joe is presently transcribing its entire sermon library to render its content more easily accessible to the deaf and hard of hearing, those who speak English as a second language, and to make the sermon content searchable for everybody. While machine transcription makes this logistically and financially more viable, accuracy is sometimes sacrificed. St. Joe is gradually replacing machine transcription with human transcription as time and financial resources allow. Each sermon costs between $30 to $60 to transcribe. If you would like to help see the preached Word of God become accessible to more people, please consider an investment in the St. Joe ministry through the PayPal platform by sending funds to StJoeOnlineGiving@gmail.com, or click here.
