The Source of Courage
2 Timothy 1:12
By Pastor Greg Byman
Robert* can boldly explain to a group of veterans what makes the American dream so special, but he feels less bold about explaining to a group of angry college students what makes God’s design for marriage so special. Is Robert’s confidence in his message? His audience? Himself? In 2 Timothy 1:12, the apostle Paul admonishes us to not experience shame when we share the message of the gospel of Jesus Christ. The Christian must know and understand the gospel so deeply that he feels supremely more confident and shameless than any sociological, moral, political or cultural argument. Today, Pastor Greg Byman talks about “The Source of Our Courage.”

Many sermons in the St. Joe archive are machine-transcribed. St. Joe is presently transcribing its entire sermon library to render its content more easily accessible to the deaf and hard of hearing, those who speak English as a second language, and to make the sermon content searchable for everybody. While machine transcription makes this logistically and financially more viable, accuracy is sometimes sacrificed. St. Joe is gradually replacing machine transcription with human transcription as time and financial resources allow. Each sermon costs between $30 to $60 to transcribe.
