Trust Jesus with your whole life!
John 21:19 Jesus appears a third time to his disciples Lessons from the story Thank Jesus for failure -Peter went back to his former occupation -felt like a loser, denied Jesus three times -led everyone else back to fishing as well -He couldn’t even catch fish! -people tend to go back to what they know- not always good -Thank God when you fail at what you know you aren’t supposed to be doing! -Success may lead to pride, refusal to trust Jesus -Failure humbles us, reminds us we can’t depend on ourselves! -Get ready for Jesus to step in Look for Jesus where you are -Jesus said “cast your net on the right side” -This is how Jesus first revealed Himself to Peter -Then Jesus called Peter to follow Him -Peter and the disciples were suddenly successful -They finally see Jesus standing on the shore -We often rediscover Jesus where we first met Him -Rev 3:20 Jesus is knocking on our doors! -Mat 28:21 “I will be with you always” Trust in the resurrected Jesus! -He died to pay for your sins -He rose from death proving His power over sin and death -Jesus wants to take care of you -Jesus already prepared their breakfast -Who is serving you in Jesus’ Name? Jesus wants you to receive his full forgiveness -Jesus had Peter affirm his love for him three time -as many times as he had denied him -Jesus paid for every shameful action and thought -We must apply Christ’s forgiveness to every sin we commit -we must forgive ourselves! -stop offending Jesus by beating yourself up for what he has already forgiven and forgotten about! Follow Jesus! The best place to be in life is in the center of Christ’s will The center of Christ’s will is not always safe in this world! Don’t be distracted by Christ’s will for others! Follow Jesus! How will you trust Jesus today? Stop doing what isn’t working! Look for the people Jesus is sending you Trust in the resurrection power of Jesus Christ! Follow Jesus with your whole life

February 16, 2020: When you think of someone far from God, who’s the first person who comes to mind? Is it a neighbor? Coworker? Parent? No matter who it is, God can use you to reach them.
Today, Pastor Greg Byman delivers the third installment in a series called, "Who's the One" and is based on a national campaign of churches to challenge and inspire the body of Christ to reach neighbors, co-workers, friends and family with the gospel of Jesus Christ, and to do this one at a time, by focusing not on the multitudes who don't know Christ, but instead on just one--your One. Who is your One?

December 15, 2019: How many names do you have, and what does your name say about you? In the Bible, God introduces us to Jesus by way of over 50 names and titles, and the believer in Christ who learns and appreciates how the Father has named his Son gains wonderful understanding about his character and his attributes. Today is the second of this series on the names of Jesus, and today we focus on Yeshua or, "The Lord Saves"; The Annointed/The Chosen One; Immanuel, or "God with us"; Poinaimo or "Ruler-Shepherd"; My Son; Nazarene.

A: author B: Bible book I: Issue S: Series Many sermons in the St. Joe archive are machine-transcribed. St. Joe is presently transcribing its entire sermon library to render its content more easily accessible to the deaf and hard of hearing, those who speak English as a second language, and to make the sermon content searchable for everybody. While machine transcription makes this logistically and financially more viable, accuracy is sometimes sacrificed. St. Joe is gradually replacing machine transcription with human transcription as time and financial resources allow. Each sermon costs between $30 to $60 to transcribe. If you would like to help see the preached Word of God become accessible to more people, please consider an investment in the St. Joe ministry through the PayPal platform by sending funds to StJoeOnlineGiving@gmail.com, or click here.
