Connection Groups are small groups of people who meet regularly in homes, restaurants, or other adaptable areas in order to fulfill God’s purposes for the church in personal and practical ways. Groups come in a variety of sizes. We have groups for men and women, mixed aged groups, younger and older adult groups and more.
Acts 5:42 says “Every day in the temple complex, and in various homes, they continued teaching and proclaiming the good news that the Messiah is Jesus.” HCSB We see from this practical example that the early church gathered in large assemblies (in the temple complex) and in small groups (in various homes). We believe a small group setting is the best place to experience the purposes of the church in personal and practical ways. Sunday worship attenders examine the five purposes, but Connection Group attenders experience the five purposes. Connection Group participants get to know people better and learn how to encourage and help one another in practical ways.
Connections Group director Pastor Jon Moody recently held an informational meeting on the fall 2020 Connection Groups. If you are interested in participating in or leading a Connection Group click here for more information. Questions: Contact Jon Moody (847-721-9908) or jmoody221@gmail.com.
